Flash Advantages and Disadvantages

Flash website templates, along with Flash technology itself have their pros and cons obviously. There are a lot of benefits of using flash web templates. The first one is it can save a lot of money. Many of the flash web templates out there nowadays are actually priced reeasonably and you will not need to develop a site from scratch which takes quite some time based on how good you are or how good your Flash designer is. This means that you will be able to create a site that can already be used in just couple of minutes. One of the advantages of using a flash web template is that you will be able to visualize your final output during the initial stages of the project and you will not require to undergo a lot of design adjustments. Usually when you use this type of design template, you will be able to alter your layout and it will not be very costly for the company or for yourself. The anti-Flash activists constantly used the slow download time of Flash webpage as the argument against Flash, but, hey, some sites just need the interactivity of FLash. And look how the overall speed of Web connection grew recently. Additionally, don't forget that Flash has that feature that enables it start playing the video or animation while it's not yet loaded entirely. Still, loading time is a very significant downside especially if your targeted market does not have the tolerance to wait for your web site to load. There are still some die-hard Internet users that do not have Flash player installed in their browsers, so developing a non-Flash version of web site is good idea. It's a good idea for Search engine optimization as well simply because search engine spiders are not able to read content inside Flash.
